December 2010 saw the Petersfield Lions at Liss Xmas Fair as well as the customary collections in the Town and at Petersfield Tesco’s. Thanks to the generosity of the people and businesses of the area the Club’s Charity account ended over £900 richer.
The collections were put immediate effect. 57 Xmas goodies parcels were bought and distributed to some lonely and needy people in the Town. And, as in the past three years, the Club has underwritten the purchase of tickets (about £450) for the Petersfield panto and the Festival hall by Home-Start Butser. Home-Start uses the tickets to bring a smile or two to the lives of families that are having a tough time.
