Lions help out at premier music event
March 2011 saw a new venture for Petersfield Lions. The Club provided the bar services for five nights of the Petersfield Musical Festival. The Festival has been running for over 100 years and is the reason that the Town’s Town Hall entertainment centre is called the Festival Hall. The Festival embraces all forms of music from local choirs to internationally recognized musicians and pretty well everything in between. By providing the service the Lions combine fund raising with a service to the community.
The outcome of the project was a profit of £1069. This has been equally shared between the Festival (which is a registered charity) and the Lions Charity Account.
