Petersfield Lions Club’s annual Presidential changeover took place at Winton House on Saturday 1st July. Outgoing Lion President Sandra Manktelow thanked everyone in the club for their support over the past year and presented Appreciation Awards to Trevor Copping for his service as Club Secretary, David Putnam as Club Treasurer, Mary Putnam for all her efforts with this year’s fundraising events and Louise Fox for organising a new event for our club, a Bridge Afternoon. Sandra then handed over the chain of office to incoming President Trevor Copping. Trevor said he was looking forward to the year ahead, we already have various fundraising events lined up, including another Charity Bridge Tea on Friday 1st September. Our Toy Tombola Stall along with Message in a Bottle & Message in a Wallet will be at the upcoming Petersfield Festivals. Petersfield Lions are proud to help the local community supporting local deserving causes, as well as national and international.
Petersfield Lions Club meets at 8pm on the first Monday of each month at the Half Moon for our business meetings. With various social events along with our fundraising and service projects, we are always active, and always looking for new members with new ideas.
