Petersfield Lions Club’s annual Presidential changeover took place at Winton House on Monday 1st July with a picnic in the garden. Outgoing Lion President Trevor Copping thanked everyone in the club for their support over the past year, it had been a challenging year, but also a rewarding one with a wide variety of fundraising and service activities.
Trevor presented Appreciation Awards to Dave & Jackie Read for their contribution to the club over the past year, a lot of which is behind the scenes. Trevor then handed over the chain of office to Mary Putnam as the incoming President.
Mary thanked Trevor for his past year as president and said she is looking forward to her year, where we as Lions need to concentrate our efforts on our Organisational, Leadership and Service abilities, along with having a fun and social side to the club.
We were also honoured to have attend our changeover, our newly appointed Lion District 105SC Governor, who is also a Petersfield Lion, Sandra Manktelow. Sandra had only arrived back in the UK the day before from Australia after attending the Lions International Conference in Melbourne with Petersfield Lion Clive Midson.
