A couple of months ago, Petersfield Lions Club were approached by a lady in need of help sourcing a replacement mobility scooter. Her current wheelchair was over 12 Years old and was now beyond repair. Due to limited mobility she was mostly housebound and seldom saw other people, her greatest joy was her granddaughter, her daughter’s first child. They live in Petersfield, she would go and visit them sometimes before the issues with the wheelchair, however she had not been able to since Christmas
and this had left a big gap in her life.
Petersfield Lions Club looked into the possibility of funding a replacement and found this was possible with a fully reconditioned mobility scooter through Ashwood Mobility.
This was recently presented to Lynn who is thoroughly delighted with it, enabling her to get out and about again.
Lynn, pictured here with Petersfield Lions Club President Clive Midson, said “It was nice to meet some of the Lions and thank them personally” when she came along to our Charity Corner Stall in the Market Square on Saturday 16th April.
