Congratulations to Matilda Hiltoft at The Petersfield School for winning this year’s Petersfield Lions Club’s Peace Poster Competition. The theme this year was “Lead with Compassion” and the entries from the TPS Art Club were of a very high standard.
The judging took place on 7th November with Caroline Strong, local artist and independent judge, and Petersfield Lion President Sandra Manktelow. This year with so many outstanding creative entries, we also selected 3 as Highly Commended runners up.
All of the winners received Lions Club Certificates and Vouchers for a local Art shop.
Matilda’s picture went forward and also won the district 105SC section of the Lions International Peace Poster Competition.
The #PeacePoster Competition is run every year by Lions Clubs International and this year’s theme was “Lead with Compassion”. It’s a way of encouraging young people to think about world peace and their interpretation of this as a piece of artwork.
